I think with being so busy at the moment that my trip to Spain earlier in the year has been on my mind. That wonderful two months of nothing else to worry about apart from what birds will I see and which bar to visit for coffee. What I would give now to be able to sit and relax at a table in the sun, underneath an orange tree, with my cigarette and a cup of wonderful Spanish coffee or cheap (but excellent) red wine. Haha, well I gave up smoking a month ago so the cigarette part wouldn't happen now :-D At least the sun is shining today here in the Outer Hebrides - a change from the damp, grey days we've had for the last couple of weeks.
The bits and pieces I'd collected in Spain - maps, leaflets, booklets, postcards, receipts, random paper - were all still lurking around in the back of my sketchbook so as they were there and to hand I looked longingly at them and without thinking too hard about it got my scissors and glue out and started my first daily collage. I covered one bit up that I didn't like and stamped my bull linocut on it too.
I think I said yesterday that i've signed up for Shelley Klammer's Collage for Self Discovery e-course, as part of that Shelley runs a 90 Day Collage Therapy Challenge where I can upload my daily collage via Instagram.
Although I will be doing a collage every day, I can't promise that I will post the results here on my blog every day - it is, after all a voyage of self-discovery and some of the things that come along might be too personal for public consumption.
Collage 1 - Spain (maybe this should be called Remembering Spain really)
